On the basis of analyzing the content of the draft principles of state cultural policy of the Russian Federation and the draft federal law on culture concluded on the need to finalize these documents in terms of identifying ways of interaction between man and society and the biosphere. State of the environment depends on the nature of the relationship to her, only the orientation on consumer behavior model is fraught with the destruction of nature and society. Accordingly, the concern for the biosphere should be the most important function of culture and a strategic priority for Russia. The author offers activities and urgent measures in this direction.
