A critical analysis of the new UN strategy for sustainable development for the period up to 2030, adopted at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in 2015, is carried out.it is Shown that this strategy lacks a number of important geopolitical, information and humanitarian problems of global security, without which further sustainable development of civilization is impossible.
The problem of social stability of society, which is considered as an important factor of national and global security, is analyzed. The structure of this problem and the content of its individual components are shown. Examples of quantitative assessment of the level of social stability in the BRICS countries and the Eurasian economic Union, as well as in the USA and Sweden are given. The necessity of the state policy of increasing the level of social stability of the society is shown.

The special importance of the information direction of the society development is noted, the result of which will be the formation of a new type of civilization – information civilization. Therefore, the study of the basic laws of the formation of this civilization in the education system is an urgent task of the new education system. Another task is the timely training of the elite and leaders of the new generation, the formation of their scientific Outlook and responsibility to society.
The article systematizes and presents information about a major international scientific and practical conference devoted to the problems of sustainable development of the Countries of greater Eurasia. The main emphasis is placed on the results of the conference related to the need to create a single digital platforms as a technological basis for development in the context of new challenges in the information sphere. These challenges are due, on the one hand, to the intensive development of digital technologies in all spheres of activity, on the other hand, to the increased requirements for information security, especially in the context of the strict sanctions policy of the West towards Russia.
Reviewed the current structure of problems of global security in the development of civilization in the XXI century. The role of humanitarian factors in solving these problems and set the priorities of the world community in the coming period. It is shown that in the first place, they should be aimed at preventing a new world war. The prerequisite for this is ensuring that the geopolitical and military balance between East and West, as well as further arms reduction and demilitarization of the economy. The following priorities are ensuring the compatibility with the biosphere of man and nature in the process of development of civilization, overcoming the systemic crisis of modern culture, and anthropological crisis, signs of which are becoming more prominent.
