The analysis of new information and cybernetic threats to the national security of Russia in the conditions of the information war unleashed against it by the Western countries is carried out. It is shown that the development of methods and means of artificial intelligence exacerbates these threats and represents a new serious problem for the national security of Russia. Examples of manifestation of methods of information warfare in the media and cybernetic space are given and the necessity of creating a system of effective protection of electronic information on critical objects of the information infrastructure of the country is argued.
