The analysis of modern ideas about the role of culture in the development of modern society and addressing the issues of ensuring national and global security. Shows the structure of these problems and their humanitarian basis, due to the cultural crisis in the West. The key problem of this crisis is egocentric worldview of a person, which determines his attitude to nature, to yourself and to others. This worldview is dominant today in many countries.It is actively supported by all means of mass culture of the West and forcefully imposed on other countries. Therefore, the problem of overcoming the crisis of modern culture is primarily a problem of change of a person’s worldview based on a materialist-oriented system of spiritual values.
