Analyze the interrelationship and interdependencies of the information society and national sovereignty. It`s shown that relevance of the question due to the informatization of society, the emergence of complex new threats related to information security of the state, interconnection of information society and national sovereignty. There are differences between the national and the global information society and their mutual influence. The conclusion is that the lack of information sovereignty in modern conditions can lead to the loss of national sovereignty.
